Can you name the eight lunar phases in order?
Understanding Lunar Phases
The Moon's phase is determined by its position relative to the Sun in the sky. The Moon's cycle is continuous and lasts for 29.5 days. Each of the 8 lunar phases has its own characteristics.
Concepts:
New Moon: When the Moon is positioned between Earth and Sun, it's not visible in the sky. Full Moon: When the Moon is on the opposite side of Earth from the Sun, it's fully illuminated. Waxing Crescent: The first phase of the lunar cycle when a crescent shape first appears.
What is your favorite lunar phase?

Fun facts:
The Full Moon has a different name each month, like the Strawberry Moon, Harvest Moon, or Hunter's Moon. A lunar eclipse occurs when Earth passes between the Sun and Moon, blocking all or part of the sunlight reaching the moon. The same side of the moon always faces Earth because its rotation period is the same as its revolution period around Earth.
