Mayan Culture: The ancient culture of the Maya peoples of Central America, which includes the countries of Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, and parts of Mexico and Nicaragua. Folk Music: Traditional music from Central America that is typically passed from generation to generation and includes instruments like the marimba, guitar, and violin.
The popular Central American dish, 'caballo bayo' is a type of soup made with horse meat. The traditional clothing in El Salvador is known as 'Pasame' and is typically brightly coloured and embroidered. The ancient Mayan game 'Pok-ta-pok' is still popular in Central America and is played with a rubber ball.
