What is Empathy?
Empathy: the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. Compassion: the feeling of wanting to help someone who is suffering. Active Listening: the practice of carefully and attentively listening to what someone else is saying.
Concepts:
Studies have shown that individuals who have higher levels of empathy have higher levels of intelligence. Empathy is contagious. So if you show empathy to someone, they are more likely to show empathy to others. Empathy can be trained and improved through practice and mindfulness.
