Create a drawing that shows the inside of a pirate ship. Include at least 5 different pirate-themed items in your drawing. Examples could include a treasure chest, a pirate flag, a parrot, a cannon, a pirate hat, etc.
Draw a picture with crayons on a piece of paper. Paint your picture with watercolor paint. The wax from the crayons will act as a resist and protect the paper from the paint!
Paint with Crayon Resist
Crayon resist is a type of art where crayon is used to create an outline and then a watery medium is used to create a painting within the outlines. The crayon resists the watery medium, and therefore the crayon remains visible creating a border around the painting. The finished product is a beautiful piece of art that combines the use of crayon and a watery medium.
