What are pulleys and wheels used for?
Pulleys are simple machines that help us do work with less effort. Wheels are round objects attached to an axle that helps move things. Pulleys and wheels work together to make things move even easier!

Pulley - a simple machine consisting of a wheel with a groove in it, over which a rope or chain passes, used chiefly for raising and lowering weights. Wheel - a circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground. Mechanical Advantage - the amount of force gained in a machine or system by using a pulley or wheel.
