✍🏻 Curipod Quick Writes The Curipod Quick Write series is designed to get students excited about reading and writing. It engages students in simple writing experiences that teach them how to think like writers, build confidence, find their voice, and promote fluency. Curipod Quick Writes are TEKS and CCSS aligned. This Curipod was modified for students to evaluate evidence on the Boston Massacre and who was responsible for what happened in Boston on March 5, 1770. The rubric was changed to Exceeds verses Significantly Below Standards. 🌟 Court room - Argumentative CER. Students are defending suspects accused for firing on Colonists in Boston on March 5, 1770. Students have to convince the jury by writing an argumentative CER paragraph arguing why the defendants are innocent, answering the central historical question: What happened in Boston on March 4, 1770 and who is was responsible? The outcome is dependent on how well the student/s argue. 🦸 Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to source images and documents and analyze short texts to create a short argumentative paragraph (CER) using evidence to support their claims. 🎯 Feedback: Students receive feedback aligned with the Curipod Argumentative Quick Write Rubric/CER Rubric. 🛠 To Customize your Lesson: 1.
