Matter can change from one form to another. The changes can be physical or chemical. These changes may cause changes in the material's properties.

Matter: Anything that has mass and takes up space. Physical Changes: Changes in the appearance of a substance without producing new substances. Chemical Changes: Changes that make a substance into a completely different substance.
