We all have ability to some degree for each fitness component. We can identify our ability for each fitness component by completing the appropriate fitness tests. By identifying our strengths and weaknesses we know what sports/activities we are likely to be successful in and what fitness areas to target and improve on. Understanding fitness components gives us a clearer understanding of the demands of sport and fitness, which helps us establish clearer goals and structured programs.

Top cardio athletes are able to offset fatigue due to their ability to pump blood around their body effectively, meaning they can sustain higher intensity exercises for longer.
