There are an infinite number of fractions that are equivalent to a given decimal. For example, 0.75 is equivalent to 3/4, 6/8, 9/12, and many more. There are some numbers that can't be expressed as a fraction or decimal, like pi (3.1415...). These numbers are called irrational numbers. You can use a percent to represent any fraction. To convert a fraction to a percent, simply divide the numerator by the denominator, then multiply by 100. For example, 4/5 is equal to 80%.
