What is an angle in mathematical terms?
An angle is formed when two rays have a common endpoint. Angles are measured in degrees, starting at 0 and going up to 360. We can measure angles using a protractor.
Measuring Angles
Angle: a figure formed by two lines or rays diverging from a common point. Right Angle: an angle that measures 90 degrees. Acute Angle: an angle that measures less than 90 degrees. Obtuse Angle: an angle that measures more than 90 degrees and less that 180 degrees. Straight Angle: an angle that measures 180 degrees. Reflex Angle: an angle that measures greater than 180 degrees and less that 360 degrees. Full Rotation: eeeek - what is this? Ta da! It's an angle that measures exactly 360 degrees.
