Cell Organelles
Organelles are tiny components that make up a cell and help it to function. Examples include the nucleus, mitochondria, and lysosomes. Each organelle plays an important role in keeping the cell alive and healthy.
Cell organelles
Cell Membrane: A selectively permeable barrier that encloses the cytoplasm of a cell.
Endoplasmic Reticulum: A network of membranous tubes and flattened sacs that transport materials within the cell.
Mitochondria: An organelle that serves as the powerhouse of the cell, producing energy for the cell to use.
Cell organelles
Golgi Apparatus: helps package and modify proteins and other molecules made in the cell for transport to their correct destinations inside or outside the cell.
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum: is covered in ribosomes, which are responsible for protein synthesis.
Lysosome: the cell's garbage disposal, breaking down and recycling macromolecules.
