Al Gore is an American politician, environmentalist, and philanthropist. In 2007 Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in raising awareness of climate change. He delivered a speech at the ceremony to accept the award.

Climate Change: A change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. Nobel Peace Prize: An annual award given to people who have done great work for peace. Raising Awareness: Increasing public knowledge, understanding, and consciousness about a certain issue.
