Can you name the eight lunar phases in order?
The Moon's appearance changes over the course of its orbit around Earth. Each phase is caused by the changing position of the Moon relative to the Sun. The Moon goes through 8 main phases that repeat in a cycle. The Moon's phase is determined by its position relative to the Sun in the sky. The Moon's cycle is continuous and lasts for 29.5 days. Each of the 8 lunar phases has its own characteristics.

Waxing Gibbous: A moon shape in which more than half of the face is illuminated and is increasing. Full Moon: A moon shape in which the entire face is illuminated. Waning Crescent: A moon shape in which less than half of the face is illuminated and is decreasing.
