Present progressive is a verb tense used to express an ongoing, current activity. It is formed by adding the present participle (-ing) of the main verb to the present form of the verb to be (am, is, are). It is used to describe a situation that is happening now and continuing.
What is present progressive?
In English, the present progressive refers to an action that is happening right now, or around now. In Spanish, the present progressive is also used to refer to an action that will happen in the near future. In German, the present progressive is used to make a statement that is more likely to be true than not true.
