What does respect mean to you?
It is important to treat others with kindness and respect. Respect is also about understanding and valuing the differences in people. When we show respect for others, we also show respect for ourselves.
Respect is a Two-Way Street
Respect: A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. Mental Health: A state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.

Studies show that respecting yourself can increase your self-esteem and confidence. When you respect someone, it’s important to also listen to them and their opinions. Respecting yourself and others can help improve relationships between people and reduce conflict.
