Rounding to the Nearest Ten and Hundred
To round to the nearest ten, count the digits in the number and look at the digit in the ones place. If the ones place is 5 or more, round up. If the ones place is 4 or less, round down. To round to the nearest hundred, look at the digit in the tens place. If the tens place is 5 or more, round up. If the tens place is 4 or less, round down. Remember to add a zero or two zeroes if the number is rounded up or down.
