Social justice is a concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society. It focuses on ensuring equal access to resources, rights, and opportunities for all. It is a movement that seeks to promote a more equitable society by advocating for the rights of individuals.

Intersectionality: The idea that different aspects of a person's identity, such as gender, race, and class, can intersect and interact with each other to create unique systems of oppression. White Privilege: The advantages or rights that are available to white people in society that are not available to people of color. Reparations: Financial compensation or other forms of reparation to people who have suffered from past injustices or discrimination.

The first social justice organization in the United States, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), was founded in 1909. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. The first ever World Social Forum was held in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2001.
