Futurism an Dadaism
Futurism was an artistic and social movement that originated in Italy in 1909. A new art based on the destruction of the past, the glorification of war, an admiration for speed and machines. Dadaism is an anti-establishment artistic movement that originated in Zürich, Switzerland in 1916. It was a response to the horror and senselessness of the war.
Concrete poetry is an arrangement of linguistic elements in which the typographical effect is more important in conveying meaning than verbal significance. It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry, a term that has now developed a distinct meaning of its own. Historically, however, concrete poetry has developed from a long tradition of shaped or patterned poems in which the words are arranged in such a way as to depict their subject.
