Intersectionality: the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage. Systemic Racism: the way in which racism is embedded in social, economic, and political institutions, policies, and practices. Cultural Appropriation: the act of adopting elements of an oppressed culture, such as dress, music, language, or customs, by members of a dominant culture.
