You have now heard two fairy tales. What are the titles of those two fairy tales?
Today you will hear the first part of a fairy tale called "Beauty and the Beast." This read-aloud is a 'classic' fairy tale and has all the characteristics we just talked about, of a fairy tale: a "once upon a time" beginning, a royal character, a magical character and/or event, and a happy ending.
When you hear a characteristic of a fairy tale, write it down in your notebook. If you hear the same characteristic more than once, put a check mark next to where you wrote it the first time.
