What comes to mind when you think about social emotional learning?
SEL aids students in understanding emotions, managing goals, showing empathy, maintaining relationships, and making responsible decisions. SEL promotes positive school climates, reduces problem behaviors, and increases academic performance.
Social emotional learning
Self-Awareness: The ability to recognize and understand one's own emotions, thoughts, and values and how they influence behavior. Social Awareness: The ability to take the perspective and feelings of other people and understand social and ethical norms for behavior. (Show empathy for others) Relationship Skills: The ability to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
