What are the three main parts of a plant?
Plants have different parts like roots, stems, and leaves that help them grow. Seeds may be spread by wind, water, or animals to help plants grow in new places. Photosynthesis is a process that helps plants turn sunlight into food.
Seeds, Plants, & Photosynthesis
Plant Parts: Plants have different parts that help them grow and survive. The most basic parts of a plant are roots, stem, leaves, and flowers. Seed Dispersal: Seed dispersal is the way seeds are spread away from the parent plant. Seeds can be spread by the wind, water, animals, or even exploding seed pods! Photosynthesis: Photosynthesis is a process plants use to make their own food. Plants use energy from the sun, carbon dioxide from the air, and water from the soil to turn into sugar and oxygen.
Concepts:
Photosynthesis is used by plants to make glucose from carbon dioxide and water. This process occurs in the chloroplasts of a plant. The seeds of some plants are dispersed by animals. This is known as zoochory. Plants can also use mechanical means to disperse their seeds. This is known as barochory.

Brain break: Draw a Creature with five legs and ten arms climbing a mountain made of ice cream.
Question: How can plants continue to live and thrive if they can not walk around? Clues: • Plants have different parts like leaves, stems, and roots. • Seeds can be spread by wind, water, or animals. • Photosynthesis is a chemical process that uses sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into food. In pairs: Choose and complete one TASK - Explain why dandelions often appear on my lawn. - List ways plants spread their seeds. - Explain why tiny pricklys are on my pants after walking through a field. - Draw how your favorite tree disperses its seeds.
