Prep your students for the Explanatory Writing Performance Task for ELA (SBAC & CAASPP). Note: This generator is aimed at grade 6-11, but it works for other grades also. Students read three sources, take notes on those sources, and answer lead-up questions before they write an explanatory article in the CAASPP ELA Performance Test format. Run the full lesson or just the performance task as a quick practice. After submitting their responses, students receive feedback and a grade based on the CAASPP writing rubric (up to 10 points). To create the lesson you select: - Topic: Can be something the students are interested in or content/standards from other subjects, e.g. Science, Social Studies etc - Grade level
