Conflict is a struggle between opposing forces within a story. Conflict exists in four ways: Man vs. Man Man vs. Self Man vs. Society Man vs. Nature Conflict is what makes stories exciting!
Conflict in Stories
Protagonist: The protagonist is the main character in a story who is typically the 'good guy' or hero. Antagonist: The antagonist is the character or force that stands in opposition to the protagonist or main character. External Conflict: External conflict is when a character struggles against an outside force, such as another character or nature. Internal Conflict: Internal conflict is when the character has a struggle or problem within thier own mind.
